4 Monster Friends [Action/Voice]
[ When Arietta first comes back to the village, she doesn't think much of it. Sure, there are a few new faces around, but she was kidnapped right before another New Feather cycle.
But as she makes her way back to House 47, things seem a bit strange. Dated, even. And they only get stranger when she finds out just who else is in House 47.
Finally she decides enough is enough, and goes for the journals.
Anyone who's met Arietta might notice that at the moment, she seems a bit... well. Older. ]

Hello. Um, I was wondering. Is Yushen listening to this? Or Wiz? [ Who else has been in Luceti for a long time...? ] Cloche?
If any of you hear this, I want to talk to you...
[ Where have all her Luceti friends gone 8'( ]
(( Arietta has been aged-up nine years in an alternate Luceti as detailed here! ))

Arietta?
[Voice]
[ But she trails off as the voice clicks in her memory. It's one she hasn't heard in a while, and probably one she'd been hoping not to hear ever again. Luceti had become her safe haven from all the bad things of her own world. And though there were certainly people from back home who she'd missed... ]
Jade.
[ none of them were murderers. 8( ]
[Voice]
Correct.
[The contrast between his previous Luceti encounter with Arietta speaks volumes. Could this one be capable of conversation? He wonders what could have changed.]
What's happened to you?
[Voice]
[ It was the important monster mom, okay. Harumph. ]
Hasn't anyone told you about how time is strange here? [ Because she doesn't want to ok. ]

My name's Aang. Sorry... I thought you might be someone I know. But... I guess that's silly.
[Still, he's wondered where Arietta's been lately.]

Yes? You were asking for me?
[Someone wondering about the theater group, maybe? It didn't sound like any voices she knew off the top of her head. If not, well that was fine too!]
voice
Um, no... I don't think so. I don't remember you.

Ques the peepit has been under Fenimore's care since he was a chick less than a foot tall two years ago and has thus lacked a proper peepit role model in his life. As such, now that he's over five feet from the tip of his head to the bottom of his long tail feathers, he generally tends to hop like he did as a tiny chick rather than fly. Today, he's hopping along behind Fenimore, who is...mostly ignoring him, really. This is pretty normal. All she needs to be sure is that he is moving about to try to work off the excess food that Grune stuffs him with. He's mildly plumper than the picture would suggest.
Unlike Fenimore, Ques stops to examine Arietta, tilting his head back and forth. He doesn't really know much about people, but he's only seen one with pink fur before. ...Maybe. His memory isn't very good. But he remembers she was friendly and he also remembers that peaches are also pink. He likes peaches. Grune gives him plenty. Maybe this girl was colour-coded pink because she also has peaches. It's a tenuous connection. But Ques is not exactly the most intelligent of beings. It's good enough for him.
He hops in her direction to greet her. Fenimore will probably notice his absense behind her eventually and come back for him, but for now Arietta gets to deal with the peepit. ]

But Arietta doesn't take long to notice the large monster hopping towards her.
And oh goodness aren't you just so precious come here and let auntie Arietta love you ]
Hi there! I haven't seen you before.
[ Can she pet you on the head? She is taller and can actually reach now. ]
no subject
And he heartily agrees with this head-petting idea. Head pets are great and if she reaches out her hand to do so he may even bump his head against her hand to indicate that this is something he is totally down with. ]

I haven't seen a monster like you before. Are you all alone here?

[Action] BECAUSE I CAN
[He needed to start getting out more -- he knew that -- but actually getting out and doing things were so tiring. So far, all he managed to do was get to the plaza and suddenly become too tired to go on. But at least the weather was nice, and with a small blanket over his lap, it really wasn't a terrible place for to stop and read for awhile.]
[Of course, it's not too long before his mind starts to wander, and he finds himself just watching the people going by through the village. Some familiar faces, some new ones... but oh, that girl with the pink hair looks oddly familiar...]
[Action] SCREEEAM
When she spots Ion, the wheelchair doesn't register. The book also doesn't register. Neither does the age difference between the boy she's looking at and the boy she last saw many years ago on Auldrant.
In fact, pretty much nothing at all registers, except for-- ]

When she gets home, Asch is at his most domestic, in the middle of making something in the kitchen with his cat weaving in and out between his feet (meowing away, true to her name) and Star the cheagle nibbling away at some lettuce on the counter. He's not expecting anyone- really, she's been gone so long he's started to wonder if he'll be living on his own from now on. Little does he know.]
[action]
Arietta wanders in, a little tentative. The village seemed a bit weird, but the house still looks the same. Same furniture, same layout...
That's when she hears someone working in the kitchen. Her first thought is that it has to be one of her housemates. They'd at least be familiar faces! But when she heads to the doorway, what greets her is not either of the familiar figures she was expecting. ]
... Asch? Why are you here?
[ It's surprise, not any sort of anger, that's in her voice. ]
[action]
Asch turns at the voice, startled, on edge, and irritated to have been interrupted (and surprised, because not many can sneak up on him like that) in his own damn house, and immediately stops halfway to the nearest knife. She's... familiar, but way too old to match the name that comes to mind. He doesn't know that many girls with pink hair, and only one would think to just walk into this house like she owns it.
...Still, the unfamiliarity is... startling.]
I live here. [A beat, and then, less confidently,] ...Arietta?
