4 Monster Friends [Action/Voice]
[ When Arietta first comes back to the village, she doesn't think much of it. Sure, there are a few new faces around, but she was kidnapped right before another New Feather cycle.
But as she makes her way back to House 47, things seem a bit strange. Dated, even. And they only get stranger when she finds out just who else is in House 47.
Finally she decides enough is enough, and goes for the journals.
Anyone who's met Arietta might notice that at the moment, she seems a bit... well. Older. ]

Hello. Um, I was wondering. Is Yushen listening to this? Or Wiz? [ Who else has been in Luceti for a long time...? ] Cloche?
If any of you hear this, I want to talk to you...
[ Where have all her Luceti friends gone 8'( ]
(( Arietta has been aged-up nine years in an alternate Luceti as detailed here! ))

[Action] SCREEEAM
When she spots Ion, the wheelchair doesn't register. The book also doesn't register. Neither does the age difference between the boy she's looking at and the boy she last saw many years ago on Auldrant.
In fact, pretty much nothing at all registers, except for-- ]
Ion!
[ brb booking it over there right this second ]
[Action]
...Arietta? Is... that you?
[Action]
[ And there is nothing that makes her more like the little girl she was when she was first rescued from the woods than the sight of the person who rescued her. Even if that sight is technically of someone else.
Unless Ion has some way to stop her, she'll probably be falling to her knees in front of him and wrapping her arms around his middle.
She really really missed you ok ]
[Action]
[But should he take it as a good sign that she didn't burst into tears at the first sight of him like she did when she arrived? Or does she still not realize who he really is?]
Of course I am. I've been here for almost three years now... do you not remember?
[Action]
You haven't been here at all! It's been so long since I've seen you, Ion!
[Action]
[For now, he should at least try to set things straight. Gently, he rests his hands on either of her shoulders, pushing her back just enough so that he can look at her.]
So the last time you saw me, was... on Auldrant?
[Action]
No... You were here before once. It was a long time ago, and you didn't stay for very long...
[ She goes quiet after that. It was after that that Van decided she should probably have The Talk.
not that one ]
[Action]
[Did she remember a conversation like the one they had before happening? If so, the question itself may be a bad sign for her. But if not... did he really have the heart to make her go through losing her Ion again?]
[Action]
You didn't. But Van did when you left.
[Action]
[Action]
My Ion died so you became close to Anise instead of me. You didn't know anything about me, and Van didn't want me to get hurt.
[ She tightens her grip a little. ]
Well it hurt anyway! I really, really missed you, Ion!
[Action]
[But to think that even with years of knowing this, regardless of whether it was just the malnosso's influence or not, she still thought that way... he couldn't help but feel a bit discouraged.]
...I'm sorry, Arietta. I'm not the same Ion you knew before.
[Action]
[Action]
[Maybe he's looking at this wrong. Maybe this was an opportunity. She seems to understand him as being a separate person right now, and that what already a step above from how she used to see him. Maybe with this... he can make things easier between them when she does return to normal?]
...why wouldn't I be? After all, even though I may not be the Ion you remember, there's no reason we can't still be friends, right?
[Action]
[Action]
...Anise is only worried about me. But that doesn't stop me from wanting to be your friend, too. After all, things can be different here. And there's no reason for the two of you to fight anymore, is there?
[Action]
[ And Arietta grinds to a screeching halt there, because what if Ion doesn't know he's dead. ]
[Action]
It wasn't something she ever liked thinking about. So she presses into him and finishes weakly, ]
She helped the ones who killed Mommy...
[Action]
[Unfortunately, either way there's not much Ion can say in defense of that.]
Be that as it may, whether or not you can get along with Anise has nothing to do with whether or not we can be friends. I'd like the opportunity to get to know you... and perhaps you can get to know me better as well?
[As someone different from the Ion you know.]
[Action]
[ Oh, do you see how her face simply lights up at that? Getting to be with Ion, for the first time in so long...! ]
Is that really alright, Ion?
[Action]
[Action]
I should show you...
[ wait. ]
Ion, why are you sitting in a wheelchair?
[Action]
...I've been sick for the past few weeks. I get tired if I walk for too long, so it's easier for me to get around if I use a wheelchair. [It wasn't entirely a lie, but it still felt bitter on his lips.]
[Action]
[Action]
...thank you, Arietta. If there's anything I need, I'll be sure to let you know.
