[ The thing about having stunted growth, being raised by monsters, and then subsequently raised by a boy around your age, is that sometimes you miss out on being informed about key parts of life.

Arietta sniffles a few times before she manages to address the journal. ]

Is there a doctor... um... Can a doctor come here? A lady would be better... I think.

[ She takes a few unsteady breaths. ]

I don't know what happened. It won't stop bleeding...

[And he's not really finding anyone here who could talk to her either. That is, someone she might actually trust. Not many from Auldrant would fall into that category, huh...]

If you're more comfortable speaking with a doctor, I'm sure there's someone at the clinic who could help you. Though I don't think it's the sort of thing you would need a doctor for... it's a normal process all girls go through as they get older.

[He's really not sure if this is more or less awkward to be talking about over the journals.]

[He stops walking and looks down at the journal with a small frown for another moment or two, before changing to a comforting smile instead.]

Come here. [ Even if the idea of this being a different Ion than the one she knows and loves so dearly is still one she is struggling with, it's so easy to take comfort in his presence as she would her own Ion's.

And comfort is something she'd really like right now. ]

[That "something" being a certain thing he's read about in regards to this particular problem that he may just have to swing by the item shop for. ~~Just what he needs, more reasons for people to question his gender...~~]

[He's actually been so focused on trying to figure out this situation that he didn't even stop to think to check who else might be replying here.]

[The line on Ion's side goes quiet for a number of moments.]

[ she will be here.

Are you going to get Anise in trouble? That would make her somewhat happier. ]

[It takes a little while for Ion to arrive, having been held up in the item shop looking for... things.]

[But soon enough, he's arriving at the house, and after knocking and getting no reply, he lets himself in.]

Arietta? Are you in here?

I'm in the bathroom.

[ There's a bit of desperation to her voice. Ion you are here! ]

[Uhm.]

[Well, he walks in the direction of her voice, but.... clearly he's not going to just push the door open. That'd be indecent!]

I'm... right here, Arietta. [.......] I brought something for you that should help... are you close enough to the door so I can just slide it over to you?

I didn't lock it. But I think so. [ idk man how far is it gonna slide. She's kind of at a bit of an angle here ~~and then I was looking up floorplans to see the bathroom layout~~ ]

[Well! Then he's just going to crouch down and slip the small package through the door. They're pads, of course. And now a number of people in the item shop are probably wonder of they've been mistaken about Ion's gender this whole time.]

[As he straightens up, he takes a calming breath -- he can tell she's scared, and the last thing she needs is to hear him sounding all flustered and unsure right now too.]

It's something that should help take care of the bleeding until it stops. There should be instructions for how to put them on written on the box. That way you won't have to stay in there the whole time.

[ There's a couple second's pause while she reads. And then... ]

Um... Ion? Can you get me some new underwear?

[There comes a time in every man's life when a woman will ask him to do something he doesn't want to do, even though he knows deep down that it must be done.]

[You know, like doing the dishes or something.]

[This is most definitely one of those times.]

W-What?

Well, this set is dirty, so I'm supposed to change it, right?

Oh-- r-right. Of course. [Don't mind the squeaky voice just now, Arietta. He's just having a bit of an internal crisis here, nbd.]

[He clears his throat.] I... I'll be right back then.

[And the it was time for him to live up to his family name and face full-life consequences!!.]

[To Arietta's room he goes.]

[ We salute you, brave soul.

Meanwhile Arietta will be dissecting one of these little packages because these things are strange. ]

[A few minutes and about a dozen mental-pep-talks later, Ion comes back holding the article of clothing in a manner far more suited for how one would hold a bomb. He's not sure whether Arietta is embarrassed or not, but he certainly is.]

A-Arietta? I've brought you what you needed... [...] Should I... hand them to you through the door?

Yes, that's alright. I think I figured this out.

[ What is embarrassed, you're Ion! There is no embarrassment between the two of them here! ... Right? ]

[Yeah, that's a nice thought, but pretty far from the truth. Cracking the door just enough to fit his arm through, he holds out them out -- hopefully far enough for her to reach. Because the last thing he's going to do is peek.]

[ Oh... okay. You can do it like that if you want, Ion. No complaints here. 8(

Arietta takes the underwear, and after few minutes (yes, minutes) of making sure she did everything right, she's cleaning up everything and opening the door to the bathroom. ]

... Thank you, Ion...

[The minutes are actually rather appreciated, given it lets Ion have a few moments to breath and calm back down after what he just had to do. It would probably be for the best if he never mentions this to anyone...]

[By the time she comes out, he's not quite so red in the face.]

Ah... you're welcome. [He even smiles.] I believe there are instructions for when you should change them on the box... and if you run out, they're not too difficult to find in the item shop.
