[ She takes a few unsteady breaths. ]

[She smiles kindly.] It's nice to meet you, Arietta. I'm Rapunzel.

[And while she was a healer, this...was something she'd never helped anyone with before. But she remembers how scary it had been when she'd started, too - she's got to stick with what she knows.]

Here - I brought something for you. [It is, as one might expect, a sanitary napkin.] You put on the inside of your underwear and it absorbs the bleeding so you don't have to stay in the bathroom the whole time.

Well, that's usually how long it takes for me...but it stops hurting after the first day or so.

[It could be different for everyone. WHO KNOWS. She didn't exactly have a well-rounded education about these things.]

What do I do when I'm asleep? [ She looks at the napkin again. ] Does this still work when I'm lying down?

Moooost of the time? [Wow, way to sound reassuring, Rapunzel.] I mean, yes. It does!

Um... can you go get some underwear for me? The only one I have here is dirty.

Oh - of course! Where do you keep it?

It's in the bottom drawer in my room.

[ ... Her room is the one that looks like the little girl's room. |D ]

Right. I'll be right back.

[And so she does go locate a room that could only be a little girl's, and is back a moment later with the clean underwear.]

[She nods.] Yes! You can do pretty much everything you normally do. Though you might be more tired than normal. It's probably best if you take it easy for the rest of the day.

Alright. ... Thank you. [ She will set to work putting them on and flushing and all that miscellaneous stuff that goes into her getting off the toilet.

And then heeeeeeeesitantly standing up. ]

It's not so bad! And it only happens once a month!

[ HOLD THE PHONE. ]

Yes, I'm afraid that's how often it'll happen to you now.

In any case, it can't be helped. But it's not so bad! Trust me. You'll get used to it.

Well, drinking plenty of water and resting can help. It might sound silly, but ice cream helps, too!
